So after a long contract for Nathan to work day shift and have the same routine at work, he was given a reprieve and as of July 1, he'll be back on regular schedule rotation. This means swing shift and grave yard, which translates into BAD GUYS! in cop termonology. He's super stoked to be able to go back on graveyard. It should be an interesting transition for all of us since we've had two straight years of the typical day shift schedule.
Addison has been busy busy busy!! She never stops moving, learning, soaking up all types of random pieces of information. She loves it when Grammy and Grampa are babysitting because she gets to take her daily walk to the "train park" to play with all the other kids, eat raisins and throw rock in the Sutter Creek. Such an adventure for a 2 year old! Last night she kept asking me if she could go to see the train "chugga chugga choo choo! all aboard!!" because she missed it. So cute!
We also have two new additions to the family, in the form of goldfish, and Addison has taken a great interest in them and always tells me that they're happy and hungry. She's named them Jack and Jill and they're in her room, so she's over the moon about them.
Darci is trying to hard to make the transition to only walking, instead of walking/crawling randomly throughout the day. She's getting more brave (not that there was ever a question of that, see previous blog entry) and walking for longer distances. The other night she walked from the bathroom to Addison's room in the monkey stance with both arms waving above her head. Love it!
Oh, the neverending back yard project. We almost have all of the dirt moved off the side yard, then it's time to put the french drain back in and build up the wall again. Then it's time for sod and beautification! We have until Darci's birthday to get it all taken care of. Just one more month so we have to get our butts in gear.
