May Flowers!

True to the old saying "April showers bring May flowers!" we've started fixing up the backyard, planting some jasmine in the back along the trellace, some daisies and petunias in the front in planters. The weather has been great! Nathan decided that our backyard isn't big enough and randomly started pulling apart the wall in the backyard that made the ledge for the trees and shrubs. Next he's going to cut the wall back so that we have more room for grass.

I recently found a sand and water table for super cheap and now it's a staple in our backyard adventures. Addison loves to manipulate the sand and make just about anything and everything with it. Darci is in heaven since she can reach the water and splash all around. They'll play with the table for hours!!

Addy had a doctor's appointment today because I suspected she might have a bladder infection. Good news is that she doesn't. There seems to just be an irritation, no bacteria. She loved the new doctor, Dr. Kumar (but she refers to him as Dr Seuss!!!) and she cried when we left because she wanted to stay with him. It's not every day that a child cries when they're being dragged OUT of the doctor's office.... hmmm ?? While doing the typical exam, he found that Addison has a slight heart murmur. He said it's innocent and nothing to be concerned about. It will probably heal on it's own as she gets older. But it was enough for me to have a slight heart attack before he went into more detail about it. She's happy that he prescribed her with lots of rest, cranberry juice and frequent baths, along with lots of naked time :)
